It may seem daunting to write your first literary analysis. And it can be. But don't let it. Like any assignment, approach it in chunks. I've eaten many a large pizza this way.
First decide what appealed to you about the short story, "To Build A Fire." Was it the characters? Was it the way it was written? Did Jack London's life interest you? What about the themes presented - determinism, instinct versus intellectualism, survival at any cost...Now you've got something to chew on - much like the aforementioned pizza.
